Trevor Marples
Executive Producer & Director
As a life long entrepreneur and video production enthusiast, Trevor began attending business and personal development events at the age of 17. In the following years Trevor frequented educational events around Vancouver, and was soon hired to film many of these same events.
Trevor discovered that his experience in event videography and filming events in Vancouver, gave him a specialized skill set, that wasn’t available though most video production companies.
This evolved into We Film Events taking on event video production projects for other media companies, and allowed Trevor to focus full time in filming events, workshops, and seminars across BC.

Technical Director
David’s passion for all things Video and Networking came from his love of fixing problems, and learning about how things work. This passion helped him quickly rise to become a Tech Lead, and Video Lead for multiple productions, and now, WE FILM EVENTS. David specializes in Livestreams, Hybrid Events, Film Projects, and Interactive Video Mapping.
Matt Nancekivell
Camera Operator & Editor
With a lifelong interest in what goes on behind the scenes, Matt found his place as a video editor and camera operator. He first joined the team as an intern from BCIT’s Film and TV program in 2022. His laser focus behind the camera and as an editor has made him a staple on all our TEDx projects, which require great attention to hours of unbending concentration.
Alex Roque
Event Promotional Videographer & Editor
Alex is a Vancouver based filmmaker and editor. Graduating with a BFA from Simon Fraser University, Alex studied film and has worked on a wide variety of projects. Since 2018 he has been gaining extensive experience from shooting weddings, events, commercials and concerts, Alex has honed his craft providing a hight quality of service to his clients.
David Yeung
Event Promotional Videographer & Editor
David Yeung is a talented Videographer who excels in the craft of creative cinematic videography.
Born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver BC, Dave specifically specializes in filming and editing event promotional videos for the We Film Events team, leveraging his 10 years of experience in Vancouver’s thriving film industry, including working on notable productions such as Cabin in the Woods, Smallville, and X Men 3.
Daniela Plazas
Junior Event Promotional Videographer & Editor
Daniela is a Vancouver based photographer and videographer with a passion for storytellingand a strong eye for detail. She brings years of experience across weddings, family sessions and commercial shoots, combining creativity with technical expertise. Highly skilled in camera work, editing and post-production. Delivering visuals that are both polished and personal.
Dominic Kwok
Event Promotional Videographer & Editor
Dominic is a visual storyteller with a passion for capturing meaningful moments through film and photography. A BCIT graduate, he has experience in multi-cam productions , testimonials and promos. He is skilled with industry tools like DSLR’s, Aputure lights and Adobe creative suit.
